Happy 4th of July!
![]() Taking a break at the lake. Sorry, no blog post this week. We took the kids to meet the grandparents at Lake Navarro Mills this weekend. We all had a great time, and are completely worn out. I came home to 1/2-inch of rain in the gauge, a tree full of bird-pecked figs, several bright red habaneros, and a bush full of ripe miracle fruit. Life is good. I'll be back with a new blog post next weekend. Happy 4th of July!

I have enjoyed your post for the last ~3 months. You have been an inspiration and a quality knowledge base. 2 years ago I purchased a house setting on 1.3 acres sitting outside Lake Jackson and have been busy every since trying to populate it with fruit trees.
